Witnesham is a village situated roughly 4 miles to the North of Ipswich, Suffolk. The main road from Ipswich that links the village to the town is the B1077, Westerfield Road.
The village amenities include a pub, The Barley Mow, two phone boxes (one dismantled) a small primary school and a computer shop that resides in the former Witnesham Stores shop. Its Post Office was at the bottom of the village, nearest to Ipswich, but was closed down a short while ago. Postal services are continued at the Baptist Church on a two-day basis. The village has two churches, the Baptist at the top of the village and the larger church, St Mary's, nearer the geographical centre. Other businesses include the industrial site and the Kersey Croft Kennels.
