[edit] Redirect request: floating-point register file

Two:

Target of redirect: Register file

Reason: Used both capitalized and uncapitalized. One type among many of register files.

  • Comment: The term "floating-point register file" seems to refer to multiple articles/entities. (See here). A new article would perhaps be a better alternative. Any other thoughts? -FASTILY (TALK) 00:06, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
  • Comment: If not a new page, then at least a disambiguation page. Cheers. I'mperator 13:16, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Redirect request: byronfgarcia & Byron F Garcia & Byron F. Garcia

Target of redirect: Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center

Reason: the signature used in the viral videos is "byronfgarcia" ; the prison involved in the viral videos is this one, so it is a reasonable search term for someone looking for the prison involved in all the dancing on youtube

Source (if applicable): the viral videos on youtube, listed in the prison article

76.66.203.200 (talk) 12:20, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
  • Comment: But Byron Garcia is already prominently mentioned in the article, so I don't see a need for a separate section, since he is a key administrator for the prison, and widely quoted to be an official at the dancing inmate Philippine prison, so it's a valid search term, and qualifies as such under WP:REDIRECT 76.66.193.20 (talk) 04:12, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

  • Comment: That's fine with me. Note, my IP address has changed in the meanwhile, because of ISP rotation of IP addresses. 76.66.193.20 (talk) 04:16, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Redirect request: DigiCipher I & Digicipher 1 & Digicipher I

Target of redirect: DigiCipher 2

Reason: The DCII article is where DigiCipher redirects to, and mentions the first iteration. The preexisting redirect DigiCipher 1 also redirects there.

Source (if applicable): the article

76.66.193.20 (talk) 04:15, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

  • Comment: There is very little mention of "Digicipher 1" in the article, DigiCipher 2. The only mention of "Digicipher 1" is how it is the predecessor to "Digicipher II". Perhaps a new article on "Digicipher 1" would be more appropriate. Any other thoughts? -FASTILY (TALK) 06:16, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
  • Comment: My course of action, based on other tech-y thing articles, would be to make the article for all "DigiCipher" content, and then describe one and two. I could be wrong, not understanding the content of the article (and not reading it that much), but do multiple versions or releases of things deserve new articles?
