Hey- Not interested in getting into an edit war, but this section exists on most of the other NBA Draft pages. It also isn't actually subjective since it denotes that those listed earned a "full year contract during the following season." Just trying to make the page consistent with previous years. No problem. I was so astonished that someone had actually completed a quintuple-double, especially on the collegiate level, that I was intrigued enough to read the story (good thing I did, I suppose). But don't worry about it, anyone who contributes regularly to Wikipedia like you and me will inevitably breeze through a source without studying it carefully and then screw up a fact or two. [edit] Whitespace removal too excessive

Hello, what is the purpose of your whitespace removal edits? I feel they go too far, especially with wikitable markup. Many editors find it much clearer to work with table data when elements are delimited by some whitespace:

| label || 431 || 562 || 43 || 6654 || 45

Of course, this is equivalent to

|label||431||562||43||6654||45

but I think the former is much easier to read in the edit window than the latter, as the table cell data stands out better. I think your script should be less aggressive with spaces inside table markup. — Andrwsc (talk · contribs) 20:24, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the feedback. I have been slowly merging this script with WP:AutoEd, and there has been some discussion there about a more fine-grained approach to whitespace removal. We are working on it. It should be the case that the 'Sprk: WS' button is the only button that removes whitespace. Let me know if that is not the case. Great, thanks! The edit that caught my watchlist was this one (later reverted by another editor for the same concerns I had, as it turns out). The whitespace removal from the wikitable (starting at line 26 in the diff) is what I disagree with, as I think wikitable markup looks better with a single space on one or both sides of the "||" cell separator. It might be useful for your script to collapse 2+ spaces down to a single space within wikitables, but I wouldn't touch the instances of single spacing. I haven't found much more about the Bunn Award itself, beyond the fact that it was "instituted by the Board of Trustees of the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1973". [1] I could probably find additional information on individual award winners, if you're interested.

With regards to the Walter A. Brown trophy, that article seems to include everything that is available on the free web. The oldest Google News hit for the trophy is this 1965 New York Times article, but unfortunately, I can only access NYT articles from 1980 onwards. Zagalejo^^^ 05:07, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Ok, I read that article on ProQuest. But I don't think it is relevant. It mentions something about a world hockey tournament and the winner of this get the Walter A. Brown Trophy. Walter A. That's a shame (and somewhat surprising!), but it shouldn't be effected. Articles do from time to time disappear from topics due to merging. I told you on the edit summary to ask me on my talk page instead of reverting...anyways, I've since seen a table where when you put your mouse over the column heading, and it tells you when the column heading means. It looks like ie. "ColumnHeading?", with the question mark more down and smaller. I can't find how to do this on Help:Tables or Help:Sorting. This is so that we can make the columns thinner without using a key. Just look at "Seasons played" and "Playoff appearances". Ehh...I'm probably a reviewer will mention about the wide width span. Also, I did some research on whether of not the Baltimore Bullets played in the 1954–55 NBA season, which they had. This is indicated on NBA.com's History section here. Basketball-Reference has a mistake, as it doesn't show that the Bullets had played in that season. Hi there. Just thought i would follow up on this. Is the plan to merge this article into another? I ask because it is still listed in the GAN list (without a review / on hold tag either), and wasn't sure what you and the reviewer want to do. If you are defintely going to merge, I would ask the main reviewer to close the review and delete it from the GAN list. If not, maybe ask the reviewer to tag it as "on hold" in the GAN list.
