[edit] Crest badges

Hey Celtus, Czar Brodie said to speak to you about this. I was wondering if someone could come up with a clan crest badge for the Clan Munro article. It has the chief's shield but not the clan badge. Thanks, QuintusPetillius (talk) 16:59, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

OK. I think its possible we could get a better crest somewhere. If you ever come across a line drawing of the crest element ('an eagle perching') that can be used by wikipedia and that could be turned into svg format, we could use that within the crest badge image instead. I like this one better (pictured) but haven't been able to turn it into a suitable image for the the black-and-white crest badges yet.--Celtus (talk) 04:02, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Cornish national tartan

Hi Celtus,

I know you do great free-to-use swatches of Scotch tartans. I was wondering if you'd be willing and able to produce one for the Cornish national tartan? A google search throws up loads of source material. I'm hoping to use it for a possible revamp of the Cornish people page I'm working on. :) --Jza84 |  Talk  00:09, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Its easy, the real trick is finding the thread counts for them. Then you can go to this site and make the image. It lets you get the right shades with colour-codes. I've got a buggy photoshop plugin that makes ones with more texture (File:MacGregor Red & Black (aka Rob Roy Macgregor) tartan.png) but sometimes it wont work on certain thread counts, unfortunately including this one.--Celtus (talk) 08:47, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
