Surely this could be covered by a paragraph on the Sheff Utd page and doesn't need a whole page of its own....? ChrisTheDude 11:09, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- I remember we had this discussion on the Sheffield United page. And at the time, the response was that it should be separate from the Sheff Utd page, simply because it mentions other clubs like Sheffield Wednesday.
- My opinion at the time was to keep it separate. For following reason: say someone heard the phrase ‘the blades’ on TV or radio, but Sheffield United were not mentioned. That person could still easily find the meaning on Wikipedia by just by typing ‘the blades’ into the search.
- That said, I do think the article is on the small side, and a decision will have to be made on whether or not to merge. Hawksworthm 19:43, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- I was looking to find some information about an Irish band called The Blades when I came across this page so I don't think the merge should happen. Radiofc 18:33, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- Do not merge. This article is about the nickname used at some point by both Sheffield clubs. The preceding comment contained scenes of a violent or sexual nature, and should not have been viewed by young children. L.J.SkinnerWOT?|CONTRIBS 21:42, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
