[edit] Founders
The article states that: "Rational Software was founded by Paul Levy and Mike Devlin in 1980/1981". 'Paul Levy' in this sentence links to the 'Paul_Levy' article which gives information about a certain "Paul Pierre Lévy (September 15, 1886 - December 15, 1971)". Since this Paul Pierre Levy died in 1971 I find it hard to believe that he also initiated Rational Software in 1980/81... Nekobasu 16:42, 3 May 2005
- Valid observation. Now it correctly points to Paul Levy. Jay 20:43, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm that's not the good one either. Your Paul Levy is a british journalist
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:RationalSoftware.gif
Image:RationalSoftware.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:35, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Rose Redirect?
Why does Rational Rose redirect here? Shouldn't Rose get its own page? Rstandefer 15:56, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] R1000 Rational Environment
There was never a product named "R1000 Rational Environment". There was a programming environment referred to as "the Rational Environment" that ran on a series of machines, the first of which was called the R1000.
[edit] Chronology
This article provides a chronological account of Rational Software. Inserting a list of current products in the middle of this chronology makes no sense. If you must, append it to the rest of the spam at the end of the article.
[edit] Organization
meh, the "Organization" section is so warm and fuzzy I think I actually peed my own pants. Any evidence or sources that show the organization was "noteworthy" and otherwise perfect and great as suggested? 12.11.149.5 (talk) 21:49, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] "Rationale..." redirect?
Hello, I noticed an incorrect redirect while searching for software called Rationale (Search offers "Rationale Software" so I clicked it) but it leads here "Rational Software". I'll mark this page in my watchlist until I learn more about redirects and search field auto-populate. For now this Talk post will have to do. Although I'm eager to learn by doing, I also might not make it back here for a while... feel free to fix if you know how. Incidentally... www.austhink.com makes the one I'm thinking of.
