White sea bass (Cynoscion nobilis, in the family Sciaenidae), along the Pacific coast of the United States
Giant sea bass (Stereolepsis gigas, in the family Polyprionidae), off the coast of California
Japanese seabass, a name for Lateolabrax japonicus, a fish commonly used in Japanese, Korean, and Chinese cuisines. It is also commonly called Suzuki and Japanese seaperch.
