Sport Clube Freamunde is a Portuguese football team from Freamunde,Porto in northern Portugal. The club was founded in 1933 by António Filipe and, as time went by, a priest called Padre Castro. The club currently plays at Campo SC Freamunde in Freamunde with a capacity of 5,000.
The club plays in the Liga de Honra in which in the previous season of 2007/08 the club finished 13th place. The clubs current chairman is Manuel Pacheco and current manager is Jorge Regadas who has previously managed FC Porto where he was the assistant manager. The club is home to players Chelsea's José Bosingwa, Roma's Vitorino Antunes, Alain N'Kong.

SC Freamunde started when António Filipe watched a group of kids playing in the streets of Freamunde. He decided to start a club; Freamunde Sporte Clube. This first version of SC Freamunde was simple.
Padre Castro was the man responsible for the SC Freamunde as it is known today. In 1935 with the entry on the extinct Liga de Honra now SC Freamunde gained the blue and white colours and the flag that remain to this day. This is how and when their football foundations were laid.
