Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) is a company specializing in education and study abroad. The company was founded by Wharton MBA, Nunzio Quacquarelli, in 1990. Fellow director Matt Symonds, and the Paris team joined in 1994. Today QS operates globally from offices in many cities around the world. QS provides services for undergraduates, graduates, Masters, PhDs, MBA, and EMBA. It offers publications and events to help broaden the scope of study abroad.
In partnership with the Times Higher Education Supplement, QS produces an annual ranking of top universities throughout the world. The THES - QS World University Rankings are largely based on a Peer Review Score, which is calculated on the responses of over 3,000 academics around the world.
