Mike Smith is an English former football manager. Smith became the first English-born manager of the Wales national football team, when he succeeded Dave Bowen in 1974. He was replaced by Mike England in 1979 and after managing Hull City A.F.C. (1979-1982), he later returned for a second spell with the national team. In the mid 1980s Smith became the manager of Egypt, leading the team to victory in 1986 African Cup of Nations.[1]
