This is a list of the rulers of the Kingdom of Asturias. During the reign of Ordoño I, the kingdom of Asturias progressively came to be known as the Kingdom of León. The kingdom was split in 910 and Fruela received the Asturias. For later kings, see the list of Leonese monarchs and the list of Galician monarchs.

Alfonso I 739–757 the Catholic He and and his descendants formed the Beni Alfons dynasty.
Fruela I 757–768 the Cruel Froila
Aurelius 768–774 Aurelio
Silo 774–783 Succeded through his wife, Adosinda, daughter of Alfonso I. Moved the capital to Pravia.
Mauregatus 783–788 the Usurper Mauregato Illegitimate son of Alfonso I who usurped the throne.
Bermudo I 788–791 the Deacon, the Monk Veremund, Vermudo Retired to become a monk.
Alfonso II 791–842 the Chaste Moved the capital to Oviedo.
Nepotian 842 Nepociano Elected king, though unrelated to the Beni Alfonso.
Ramiro I 842–850 Deposed Nepotian.
Ordoño I 850–866
Alfonso III 866–910 the Great Kingdom divided between his three sons: García I received León, Ordoño II Galicia, and Fruela II Asturias.
Fruela II 910–925 Froila Afte his death, Asturias was seized by Alfonso IV of León, while Alfonso Froilaz ineffectually claimed it.
