José Paulo Sousa da Silva, Paulo Sousa (born 13 May 1975 in Lousada), is a Portuguese footballer currently playing for F.C. Paços de Ferreira, mainly as a central midfielder.
During his career, Sousa played for S.C. Freamunde, F.C. Penafiel and F.C. Paços de Ferreira, also having an unsuccessful spell with Cyprus' APOP Kinyras Peyias, from August-December 2007, returning to Paços and re-joining central midfield teammate Pedrinha, with whom he shared nine professional seasons.
