He is one of 7 children, his siblings being: Jordan Taylor (born March 14, 1983); Zachary Walker (born October 22, 1985); Jessica Grace (born July 31, 1988); Avery Laurel (born November 4, 1990); Joshua Mackenzie (born January 7, 1994) and Zoë Genevieve (born January 14, 1998).
Isaac sings and plays guitar in the band Hanson. He and his younger brother, Taylor, started the band, initially known as The Hanson Brothers (later changed to just 'Hanson'), in 1992. Isaac was eleven, Taylor nine, and Zac six. They performed as an a cappella group outside clubs in their hometown of Tulsa. On May 6, 1997, the band released their third (First On a Major Label) studio album, Middle of Nowhere, on a major record label, Mercury Records. The first single, "MMMBop", made it to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. May 6 has been declared "Hanson Day" in the brothers' hometown of Tulsa, in honor of the release of Middle of Nowhere.
