Des Abbott (born 1 October 1986 in Darwin, Northern Territory) is a field hockey forward from Australia, who won the golden medal with the Men's National Team at the 2008 Champions Trophy in Rotterdam and has been selected for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He is captain of the NT Stingers in the National Hockey League and has been part of the Australian team since 2007.
