Coppet is a municipality in the district of Nyon in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland.
It is on the north shore of Lake Geneva and is in the French-speaking part of Switzerland known as Romandie. It is celebrated as the home of Madame de Stael, the Château de Coppet, her burial-place and that of Jacques Necker, her father. The Château de Coppet was also the final home of Jacques Necker.
