Andrew Peter "Andy" Butler (born November 4, 1983 in Doncaster) is an English professional footballer currently playing for Football League One side Huddersfield Town. He is a left-footed central defender. Butler made 135 league appearances for Scunthorpe United, scoring 13 times. In 2006, he spent four games at Grimsby Town on loan, in order to build up his match fitness.
During the 2007–08 season, Butler appeared on Soccer AM on Sky Sports 1 on the Crossbar Challenge dressed as Wonder Woman.[1]
Butler left Scunthorpe in June 2008, turning down a new three-year contract offer, so he could move to a club that would be more suitable for his family needs. He moved to Huddersfield Town on 2 July 2008 on a three-year deal. He along with five other players made his Huddersfield debut in the 1–1 draw against Stockport County at the Galpharm Stadium on 9 August 2008. His first goal for the club came in the 3–2 win over Crewe Alexandra at the Galpharm Stadium on 1 November 2008.
