All India Democratic Students’ Organization (AIDSO) is a student organization in India. It was founded on 28 December 1954, and is affiliated with the Socialist Unity Centre of India.

The AIDSO upholds the banner of truth and justice,liberty and equality to fight against all sorts of injustice,oppression and exploittation.the AIDSO strives to become the rightfull inheritor of all the valiant fighters and great men of history and to imbibe the lessons of their lives and struggles in its present struggle for social progress and revolution.The AIDSO adopts its ideological orientation from the basic principles of scientific socialism in order to achieve all round progress and social transformation

The primary objective of the AIDSO is to organise student movements against the anti-people pro-capitalist education policies of the central and state governments as well as other authorities concerned,and for the establishment of a SCIENTIFIC,SECULAR,DEMOCRATIC Education System

The All India Democratic Students' Organisation came into being on 28th December 1954.In those days the number of organisers had been very few and they had very little resources.But from the very beginning,the AIDSO surged ahead whenever there was any attack on education or on the interest of the students.Many historic movements had been developed by the AIDSO in which undauted sacrifice,bloodshed and even dedication of lives,helped to achive demands in some cases or create confidence among the students at large about the organisation.In later 50's,a very big student movement broke out in west bengal against seat restriction scheme,declared by UGC.In this movement while the then undivided Student Federation and other big students organisations dwindled,the AIDSO,then only 3/4 years old ,played a cruicial role.In seventies,AIDSO hold historic Cuttack Conference where the organisation emerged in a new form with a massive and All India character,with representation from 8 states. During the Emergency in '75-76',while a stormy student movement was going on in Bihar and some other parts of northern India in which AIDSO played an important role.Inthe "80s bloody anti bus-tram fare hike movement in West Bengal,particularly of 1983, where comrade Manik Burman,a school student and worker of AIDSO and com. Rabi Ghosh, a leading AIDSO organiser,sustained severe bullet injury,Com. Habul Rajak an AIDSO worker,in Purulia,died a martyr's death facing police firing along with comrade Sovaram ModakThis is the phase when historic language movement in West Bengal continued in thriving pace,with the AIDSO playing a crucial role playing in itIn 1985 comrade Sailu,Andhra pradesh was brutally killed by criminals of RSS.AIDSO opposed NPE 86 and organised a national wide protest in all aspects.. In different states...movement againstfee hike in TMB university,Bihar.....left democratic student movement by combatting the HIndutuavady forces to develop movements against fee hike and self financing courses,and achived some of demands.In karnataka a movement against capiation fees,exessive fees hike in Medical college.In Andra the movement of ITI students,Nursing Students.In Orissa against the move to close down 500 college and 1500 schools,in the excuse of low standard and against the rampant fee hike.In tripura the movement against the Nodal systems of schools... In west Bengal the movement demanding the re-introduction of English teaching from class 1 in the primary level continued for long 19 years... In kerala,AIDSO had become a cardinal force in developing a protracted movement against the plan to destroy the primary education through DPEP or SSA.Movement on the demand for higher studies of vocational students,medical students protests,parallel college students protest...etc are some of victorious movements...the movements against NPE 86 and DPEP-SSA was guided by AIDSO and supported by academic community of kerala...Against the introduction of self financing courses,extension of DPEP model of teaching(Choice Based Credit-Semester system)upto the university level and enhancement of students' bus concession charges,the AIDSO launches a vigorous movement in Kerala Recently AIDSO organises national wide movement against the government policies of commercialization of education,bringing education under purview of GATS,introduction of sex education at school levels and the policy of SEZ(Special Economic Zones). AIDSO is the one and only studentforce which organises sustained protests againstthe recommendations of NKC and Lyngdoh commission. Also AIDSO leads cultural movement against growing crime on women and obscenity
