.бг (Punycode: .xn--90a; Bulgarian: България, Bălgarija) is the intended internationalised country-code top-level domain for use by Bulgaria.[1][2]
On 24 October 2007, UNINET, a Bulgarian association announced that they will submit an application to obtain the .бг domain.
On 23 June 2008, the Government of Bulgaria officially announced its intent to register to TLD in a letter from Plamen Vačkov, chairman of the Bulgarian State Agency for Information Technology and Communication, to Paul Twomey, president and CEO of ICANN, after several months of discussions within ISOC-Bulgaria involving senior government ministers.[2] As of September 2008[update], however, no internationalised TLDs have yet been approved by ICANN.
